In this thesis work, e ect of heat transfer on single and multiple walled carbon nan-
otubes between two rotating plates, in the presence of transverse applied magnetic
eld, linear thermal radiation and the constant heat source is observed. The governing
partial di erential equations (PDEs) are transformed into ordinary di erential equa-
tions (ODEs) by using a set of similarity transformations. Thereafter using MATLAB
(bvp4c), the numerical solutions are obtained. Numerical computations are carried out
for water based single walled and multiple walled carbon nanotubes respectively. The
impact of governing physical parameters including nanoparticle volume fraction ( ),
suction/injection (S), reynolds number (A1), rotation (A2), magnetic parameter (M),
thermal radiation (Nr) and heat generation or absorption parameter (Q) on velocity
and temperature pro les are studied. The skin friction coe cient and local Nusselt
number are also analyzed. |
