dc.description.abstract Various attempts have been made to incorporate waste materials in plain cement concrete to reduce the weight of waste materials on national landfills and the economic strain on the building industry. This research focuses on improving the mechanical properties of concrete by treating the recycled aggregates with cement slurry and adding polypropylene fibers in it. The Splitting tensile strength and compressive strength tests were tested using the appropriate equipment. The use of cement slurry has improved the compressive strength by 20% and the splitting tensile strength was by 2.5%. The use of cement treated aggregates along with of polypropylene fiber has enhanced the compressive strength by 28% and the splitting tensile strength was by 15%. As a result, both the compressive and tensile properties of the recycled aggregates concrete were enhanced by treating of recycled aggregates and addition of polypropylene fibers, making the study effective in exposing the possible use of waste materials in concrete production industries for environmental, economic, and value-added benefits. en_US
