dc.description.abstract Construction delays are one of the major concerns for the stakeholders involved in the construction industry. Our effort was to determine various kinds of delay drivers and then analyzing them. We used three approaches in order to determine the delay drivers in the construction industry. First one was the event sequence mapping technique that assisted us in the evaluation of critical delay drivers. Then questionnaire survey was conducted among the professionals involved in the industry. The third one was the subjective case study of specific public sector projects. Then a list of delay drivers were obtained and classification of those was done on the basis of Relative Importance Index (RII). At last the most critical delay drivers were determined on the basis of results obtained. en_US
