dc.description.abstract Today the technology is getting advanced with greater pace than ever to give ease and comfort to humans. World has become a global village with technological advancement but on other hand its population is expanding alarmingly. Today in 2022 the recorded world population is approximately 7.9 billion. With this huge population the working style of the world affairs are shifted towards automation as it is not possible to keep records of all the businesses and operations related to each person on the earth manually. Today governments and corporate sector is trying to automate every running function. Example of few services automated by governments are issuance of Birth certificate, National Identity, Death certificate, Passport, Tax record, Property ownership and Transfer processes. Few examples from corporate sectors are persons banking sector (i.e. loan, credit card, account operations), social media marketing, shopping trends etc. There are many routine operations that revolve around each of us in daily basis, but one of the important things is our ‘identity’. It is the center and prerequisite for every function, without valid identity any function can be forged or manipulated. Today identity is easily stolen or misused due to usage of security wise weak systems for storing and processing the data [1]. Data is normally stored at central place which is easier to compromise. Without secure and valid identity of every individual, our world will be full of discrepancies and disparity [2]. The need of hour is to develop a global digital identity which can uniquely identify everyone on the globe [3] and is also secure against various identity attacks. All these issues can be resolved by the immutable, decentralized and distributed technology called blockchain. It is a new technology with huge benefits to explore specially while managing digital identity. en_US
