dc.description.abstract The birth of judicial activism is from a conflict and spread development in multidimensional forms. Such that social, economic and political development, but that development is questionable. For some people the development is positive and have advantages to the system. In some people perspective that development is negative and have negative consequences. The major argument in this regard is judicial activism has embraced judiciary with extreme power and authority. That is used by judiciary to make intervention in an area that is out of their domain. Secondly judicial activism has made individuals stronger from institutions, due to which judicial activism has earned a bad name for judiciary in Pakistan. Along with that judicial activism has positive outcomes. Such as political, social, and economic accountability. Furthermore than that punishments for political, elites and bureaucrats in terms of corruption. Also in terms of that judiciary has made intervention to provide basic facilities such as healthy food and water. In addition to that Supreme Court of Pakistan intiatives of building dam fund to overcome the future water crises of Pakistan. The initiative that can’t be ignored and will be remembered for years to come. But in terms of pursuing initiative judiciary has compromised its own role. Such as in terms of low performance as large amount of cases are pending in Lower and High Courts. Furthermore than that unnecessary intervention has hindered the process of work in multiple bureaucratic departments. From which common people has suffered. In addition to that few decision of Supreme Court of Pakistan has given Pakistan an unimaginable losses. Such in case of Riko Diq and Karkey case. Every aspect have positive and negative side. If individuals from judiciary know, about roles, responsibilities and domain. So judiciary will respect other institutions and conflict of interest between institutions will not occur. Furthermore than that other public sector intuitions have to perform well for providing better public services to common people. So judiciary under judicial activism has role to act as catalyst for betterment, rather than a party. So it will build a system in Pakistan that will be sustainable and a cause of development. en_US
