dc.description.abstract Since the start of man-made inventions motors of .any kind are playing a very vital role. Among these motors DC motors are of specific interest to us. DC motors play a very vital role in almost every invention. Be it industrial or commercial DC motors have found their way in due to their wide precise and efficient characteristics. The output torque of a DC motor plays a very vital role in every application related to the DC motor. The required speed torque characteristics of a DC motor is difficult to achieve when the given system is subjected to the external disturbances and parametric variations. A novel control technique known as linear output regulator is designed achieve the required torque speed characteristics of a DC motor when it is subjected to the parametric uncertainties and external disturbances. A LOR is used when we have a problem of output tracking and disturbance rejection simultaneously. The objective of this thesis is to design a linear output regulator for a DC motor to achieve the desired speed torque characteristics en_US
