dc.description.abstract In the era of 5 th Generation of mobile communication, the requirement of the high data rates with better spectral efficiency is one of the major concerns of the wireless communication industry. Many modulation schemes have been tested for the implementation of 5G. because Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) was not a suitable modulation scheme for 5G implementation. So, to solve the problem Filter Bank Multicarrier Modulation (FBMC) comes out to be the better modulation scheme. And when it is modulated using Offset Quadrature Amplitude Modulation it shows the best spectral efficiency with high data rates. And the channel used for the communication was also studied. In this thesis, FBMC/OQAM is implemented and its comparison is done with OFDM. And the channel used is being studied. The channel AWGN is used to implement the effects of FBMC and BER is analyzed corresponding to the change of the parameters. en_US
