Abstract:
A good thriller/crime story can always capture attention of many with its proper treatment in
terms of audio/visual representation. Crime thrillers or suspense genre makes up to closely 25-
40 percent of all the sales in fiction books, novels and movies around the world. Crime is
intriguing, no doubt, on the grounds that the vast majority of us don't carry out it. In any case,
the fame of the movie/novel category has little to do with wrongdoing essentially. It has
unquestionably more to do with the very substance of how narrating functions.
Revenge, plotting a murder, megalomaniacs and OCD, taboo topics need proper representation
in today’s fast paced society.
One such topic is addressed in this Short Film; The Perfect Match.
The story of this short film revolves around the character of Shahrukh, an OCD megalomaniac,
who has an atrocious interest of controlling others specially his wife Sharmeen. A marriage in
which trust, love and commitment fails to pave its way into the couple’s married life resulting
into a cold blooded fight and a murder, a sister Anaya, who tries her best to save a loved one
but the story takes a turn she opposes Shahrukh. Thus this film mainly reconnoiters the
behavioral changes of him as an OCD psychopath, a girl who leaves her parent’s house for a
man she loves and a guilty sister who tries her best to make things right for her family but
struggles to reach the right path at the time of skirmish.
