Abstract:
The reputation of a company is based on the knowledge of management team of top level,
the financial performance of organization, the stock price of company, level of product novelty,
delivery of products, etc. Quality of the end products is the most important determinants of an
organization’s reputation. Companies cannot prosper unless they can deliver the right quality of
goods and services at reasonable costs to its customers. The poor quality to customer decreases
the charm of the product for the customer which causes reduced sales. In this way poor quality
negatively affects the company as well as the customers .In Pakistan, many organizations face
poor quality issues. Poor quality causes expenses on a company in terms of problems related to
productivity. Most organizations do not give proper importance to maintaining quality standards
in their manufacturing processes. The ending result is reduced revenues with greater costs. Major
reasons for low quality products can be:
low resources (Money)
Low level managerial skills
Lack of skill workers
Small production budget
Weak quality assurance measures
Absence of detailed Quality Audits and Inspections in place at every stage of the quality
time line.
Lack of training of human resource
The basic objective of this research is to determine how to efficiently utilize the TQM Tools
& Techniques in Pakistani organizations by an assessment of their practices of TQM Tools &
Techniques and Formulation of Strategy for Improvement of Its Implementation. The key
objective is to assess the existing intensity of practices of TQM Tools & Techniques in Pakistani
organizations and to identify the reasons behind low usage of certain TQM Tools & Techniques.
Finally incorporating the knowledge from survey, in order to propose a framework for
improvement of Implementation of TQM Tools & Techniques
