Abstract:
Most of Government Organizations suffer high technical employee turnover in R & D sector,
engaged and satisfied employees are more likely to stay with their companies. Identifying motivation
and satisfaction factors for employees is therefore of great importance in increasing technical
employees retention in Government R&D Organizations of Pakistan.
The research methodology includes a combination of literature studies and empirical analysis. The
theory section looks at different motivation theories to better understand employees’ attitudes and
motivation. Empirical analysis is made up of surveys and several interviews with technical employees
and managers who work for different Government R & D Organizations (NIE, HIT, PAEC and
NESCOM).
The purpose of this research is to find strategy, model development and to investigate what are the
most important motivation and satisfaction factors for Technical Employees in Government Sector,
what causes them to stay and what are the main reasons for leaving their organizations?
Understanding employees’ motivation and needs could help organization to lower turnover, and
retain good employees by satisfying their needs as much as is reasonable.
