dc.description.abstract Vehicle adhoc Networks (VANETs) are essential for increasing traffic safety and strength ening the effectiveness of emergency communications. However, due to problems like congestion and delays brought on by the high volume of message transmissions, effec tively disseminating emergency alerts via VANETs is a difficult undertaking. Using a reputation-based system, we suggest enhancing efficiency, security, and reliability in VANET in this study to reduce network congestion and boost message delivery effec tiveness in emergency situations. The system uses reputation as a way to prioritize and control message transfers on VANETs. A reputation value is given to each vehicle in the network based on its prior behaviors, such as successfully completing message deliveries or taking part in cooperative acts. When sending emergency messages to target nodes, vehicles with higher reputation scores are given precedence, while those with lower scores are given lower priority or have fewer gearbox options. This reputation-based strategy makes sure that only cars with a track record of dependability and collaboration actively participate in message distribution, lowering the possibility of congestion and enhancing network performance as a whole. Extensive simulations will be run utilizing true-to-life traffic scenarios and emergency conditions to assess the effectiveness of enhancing effi ciency, security, and reliability in VANET using a reputation-based system method. To determine the effect of a reputation-based message transmission on network congestion, message delivery latency, and overall system performance, the simulation results will be examined. To emphasize its benefits in reducing congestion and enhancing message dissemination efficiency, this approach will also be contrasted with conventional mes sage transmission techniques. The outcomes of this study will aid in the creation of effective and trustworthy message transmission mechanisms for VANETs. This study’s reputation-based strategy has the potential to improve VANETs’ overall performance in emergency scenarios by lowering congestion and enhancing the timely delivery of vital information. These results can greatly increase the effectiveness of emergency response and road safety systems, making VANETs more reliable and practical in real-world situations. en_US
