dc.description.abstract Pakistan has one of the highest population growth rates in Southeast Asia. According to United Nation this year population of Pakistan to reach 403 million by 2050. Pakistan ranks third among countries facing major water shortages according to International Monitory Fund (IMF). To improve water crises, we need a mechanism to analyze water consumption behavior at domestic level and forecast future water usage in presence of smart metering in domestic level. This research focuses on development of Internet of Things Infrastructure to gather and analyze water consumption behavior of households. Internet of Thing has taken the world into new level since its idea being conceptualize, connecting everything to internet using wireless technology. IoT is the organization and network of interconnected devices, objects and items incorporated with sensors to collect data and communicate with each other. In this research, Internet of Thing Kit is proposed to record wirelessly the amount of water consumed by household at micro level. The recorded data will help to predict future water demands of households. en_US
