Design / Development of Lab Exercises for Enterprise Network Technologies

Abstract

This project “Design / Development of Lab Exercises for Enterprise Network Technologies” provides the platform for students, instructors and administration to not only understand and learn about the concepts of enterprise networking but also after implementing benefit organizations by carrying out these lab experiments. In this dissertation, an approach is being presented with effective explanations, which helps the users to successfully configure and troubleshoot different Lab experiments in Linux and windows. The Documented lab with each step having comprehensive explanation enables end user not having any knowledge to be able to perform the lab experiments with great authority and command. Students as well as instructors by following the illustrated steps shall be able to master the field of enterprise networking. These documents are actually steps that lead the consultants to be able to configure and then troubleshoot the lab experiments like Cisco-1700 Router configuration, VLANs, VPN, Packet capturing and generating tool, Firewall, Intrusion detection system, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and Proxy server in both windows and Linux operating systems. Troubleshooting guide one of the important and unique module provides all the steps to troubleshoot the experiments with little knowledge about the topic. Starting with configuration of TCP/IP to the documented steps of VPN all the lab experiments were performed inconsideration to provide ease to the students, instructors and administration not having great knowledge of network elements while establishing a network for there organization. All the theoretical and experimental information was first gathered then after performing each and every lab according to designed setup the steps involved in it were documented
