Abstract:
My documentary is an expository documentary. This film aims to draw attention to
sanitation workers who face substantial occupational and environmentalist risk.
The sanitation employees who are most exposed during sanitation will be covered
in this documentary. A plethora of social issues are affecting society.
Dehumanizing sanitation workers is one of them. It is crucial to talk about the health
and safety of these employees who keep our surroundings clean and safe despite
getting sick and unclean. The true heroes of the country are sanitation workers, and
we should not disregard them. In addition to health risks at work, they also
encounter prejudice and disrespect from those who have contempt for their labour.
The public needs to be made aware of this problem in order to provide them with
the safety measures and respect they deserve. Due to their strenuous job,
confinement in small areas, and exposure to potentially hazardous materials,
sanitation workers are more likely to contract many diseases and infections. There
is a need to visually represent the needs and concerns of these employees to the
general public to aware them of the challenges sanitation workers face on daily
basis. This documentary will encourage viewers to treat them with love, respect
and equality. It will inspire the decision makers and authorities to provide safety
equipment’s, give health benefits and support to make a better living for these less
privileged workers. Furthermore, it will help the audience develop empathy for
them. This issue is to be properly eliminated, therefore it is imperative to
comprehend the lives of sanitation employees, the problems they encounter on a
daily basis, and how it impacts their quality of life.
