dc.description.abstract A novel and photo active core-shell Bi2S3/Ag-doped TiO2 NRs heterostructure was synthesized successfully by hydrothermal and SILAR methods. The crystallographic structures, phases and structural compositions of all photoanodes was charactrized by X-ray diffraction analysis and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. To study the morphology and core shell confirmation of all photoanodes the scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was performed. The optical properties of all the materials were studied by UV-Vis Diffuse reflactance spectroscopy and band gap energies were calculated by plotting tauc plot with Ku Bulka Munk function. The photoelectrochemical measurements were investigated with linear sweep voltametery (LSV), chronoamperometery, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and mott schottky plots. The photoanode 8-Bi2S3/0.2% Ag-TiO2 NRs shows the highest photoconversion efficiency 0.26% and the highest photocurrent density 0.51 mA/cm2 due lowest charge transfer resistance. en_US
