dc.description.abstract The setting is a small city. The protagonist of this thesis is a 15-year-old girl. The name is unknown. The setup is familiar to us all. The back seat of the parent’s car. It’s a two-hour drive to the nearest entertainment. It’s a two-hour drive to the nearest cinema. It’s a two-hour long drive. White in the cinema her father sleeps while she and her mother and brother enjoy the new animated movie in an almost empty theatre. New for them old for everyone else in the big city. A city much like hers but bigger and better and always busy. Her city is small and it’s still busy. It’s a different sort of busy though. It’s a routine busy and when the routine ends people sleep. The small city is however boring. It has died out. The places to go to in it have died out. Due to mismanagement, budget cuts, due to some reason. The places in it have died. Everyone knows everyone, but they’re rarely seen outside of their own homes. The story is of the dead city. en_US
