dc.description.abstract The study "Assessing Transportation Accessibility and its Impacts on Academic Performance of University Students" delves into the intricate relationship between transportation accessibility and academic success among university students. By examining the influence of transport accessibility on students attending higher education institutes in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, the research sheds light on the crucial role transportation plays in shaping educational outcomes. Through a quantitative analysis of factors such as travel distance, time, choice of travel mode, and reasons for mode selection, the study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how transportation challenges affect students' academic performance. The findings of research highlight the significance of reliable and efficient transportation options for students, with a particular focus on the impact of transportation-related issues like late arrivals and fatigue on academic performance. The study underscores the importance of addressing transportation challenges to enhance students' overall academic experience and success. Recommendations stemming from the research advocate for improvements in transportation infrastructure, campus proximity, support services, awareness and education initiatives, mental health support, collaboration with transport authorities, and continuous research and monitoring to ensure students' transportation needs are met effectively. By emphasizing the need for universities and stakeholders to create a supportive environment for students facing transportation challenges, the study aims to guide policymakers and education administrators in developing strategies to improve transport accessibility and enhance students' educational outcomes. The research contributes to filling the existing research gap on transportation accessibility to educational institutions and provides valuable insights for future interventions and improvements in transportation systems and policies. en_US
