dc.description.abstract This documentary thesis explores the evolving gender roles and marriage perceptions among Generation Z in Pakistan, influenced by globalization, digital revolution, and social media. While Gen Z holds progressive views on gender roles, advocating for egalitarian relationships and challenging traditional patriarchal norms, their marriage perceptions and some cultural values remain surprisingly traditional. Through interviews and case studies, this research investigates the shifting attitudes towards marriage, partner criteria, and timing preferences among Pakistani youth as they prioritize egalitarian relationships, career advancement, higher education, and financial stability before marriage. This documentary highlights the transformative impact of rising literacy rates, particularly among women, and financial independence on Gen Z's marriage perceptions, revealing a forward-thinking and progressive approach. en_US
