dc.description.abstract Emilio José Armaza-Armaza is “Ramón y Cajal” Researcher and Associate Professor of Criminal Law, University of Deusto, Law School, Avda, Bilbao, Spain; he can be reached at emilio.armaza@deusto.es. The author’s work has focused on the study of legal and ethical implications that arise from the development and application of biotechnological innovations, essentially from the perspective of criminal law. Since 2006, he is a collaborating Researcher of the Chair in Law and the Human Genome, University of the Basque Country, Spain. Oren Asman is Executive Director, Bioethics and Law Initiative, Sackler Faculty of Medicine, Tel Aviv University, Israel, and Professor, Department of Medical Law, Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, Russia; he can be reached asman@tauex.tau.ac.il. Oren Asman is a Practicing Lawyer, Chair of District Psychiatric Review Committees, and a Senior Academic Faculty in the Faculty of Medicine. His research focuses on ethical and legal aspects of biomedicine and led him to initiate the Bioethics and Law Initiative at Tel Aviv University. Yechiel Michael Barilan Associate Professor of Medical Education, Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University, Tel Aviv, Israel; ymbarilan@gmail.com. Y. Michael Barilan was an academic consultant to the first Workshops in Military Medical Ethics by the International Committee of Military Medicine. He is the author of Human Dignity, Human Rights, and Responsibility: The New Language of Global Bioethics and Biolaw (MIT Press, 2012). Catherine Bertrand Service d’Aide Médicale Urgente (SAMU), France, is a CivilMilitary Practitioner involved at a national level in CBRNE (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosives) countermeasures and training. She and her coauthors are members of CBRNE European projects and NATO commissions en_US
