dc.description.abstract This study investigates the influence of crime content on viewers, specifically focusing on women's perceptions of crime in society. The study aims to determine whether such content effectively raises awareness of crime-related issues among viewers. Additionally, the research categorizes viewers into two types: heavy viewers and casual viewers to understand the effect of crime content. The study examines the precautionary behavioral changes among these two groups and compares the level of awareness and more cautious or defensive measures. Drawing upon George Gerbner's cultivation theory as a theoretical framework, the study utilizes a quantitative data collection method. The research focuses on a selected group of female students in Islamabad over a specified timeframe. The findings of this study will contribute to our theoretical understanding of the subject matter and provide valuable insights for both readers and media professionals. en_US
