This research thesis aims to critically analyze the shifting landscape of information security within firms of financial institutions in United States, Europe and Pakistan. The study has identified significant discrepancies that call for congruency between the rules within institutions and adaptable and resilient security standards which are prescribed according to the domain needs in one sector as compared theoretical concepts with real-world practices. The results further support the need for This is a synergistic approach which encourages different regulatory authorities and industries to work together languages before designing and implementing solutions along with our collaboration of practitioners and scholars to overcome present inequities. This is made possible by operating from technological advancements and developments, global regulatory landscapes, and statistical findings. The proposed solutions allow organizational leaders in the financial sector to safeguard essential resources during increasing cyber threats, and thus contribute to the development of both theoretical and practical knowledge regarding information security. In addition to ensuring the long-term integrity of financial information systems, this work develops the ground for the subsequent studies in the field and innovation by fostering a security culture that is collaborative and resilient.
