Abstract:
Over the course of time, the Pakistani cinema and drama industries have developed. However, the industry at present has become a victim of capitalism and money-making agendas. As a result, the true art of story-telling which was once the epitome of the Pakistani film industry, has been lost. The aim of this thesis is to provide a facilitation center that would bridge the gap between the existing film industry and the aspiring younger generation, who aim to be part of the glorious past that Pakistani cinema once was. The facilitation center shall act as a hub where the past and the future come together to learn and share their experiences, which will shape the industry into a better representation of what it used to be. The national impact of the problem at hand refers to the impact these stories will have on the lives of people who will eventually consume the content. The research methods will focus on the understandings of a common man towards the field understudy and the research that revolves around the existing economic and social patterns the field was able to generate over the course of time. The film facilitation center shall be shaping lives, socially as well as economically. The result of this thesis revolves around facilitating the existing conditions and providing a more public outlook towards the art of filmmaking and storytelling.
