dc.description.abstract This study aims to improve the physical and mechanical properties of porous asphalt by using the inorganic compound titanium dioxide, a versatile compound that is the fifth most abundant substance on the earth's surface. Porous asphalt is a sustainable and effective solution for managing stormwater and controlling urban flooding, but improving performance while maintaining stormwater management capabilities is also a major challenge. To address this issue, titanium dioxide has been introduced into asphalt mixtures at various concentrations of 1%, 1.5% and 2% to study the effects of titanium dioxide on pavement strength, stability, durability, rutting, abrasion, and wear resistance. tear. Deformation due to changing traffic loads. This study evaluates the physical, chemical, and thermal properties as well as permeability and porosity properties of modified asphalt through laboratory experiments and extensive mechanical testing. Research results show that the addition of titanium dioxide at a concentration of 2% significantly improved the overall performance of porous asphalt by 10.7% to contribute to urban flood control activities. en_US
