Analyzing the project management techniques used on Rawalpindi metro bus project in terms of cost and scheduling and preparing 3D model of a metro bus station

Abstract

Project management is the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project activities to meet the project requirements. Management is an important part of any construction project. Successful completion of a project cannot be certain unless proper project management techniques are followed especially from the perspective of time, budget and quality; the project management constraints. We shall be practicing the project management techniques and tools for the PMBOK knowledge areas of time, budget and quality on the Rawalpindi Metro Bus Project. The scope of our study will comprise of planning and scheduling of the Project on Primavera P6 ® and creating a 3D model of a Metro Station using Autodesk Revit ®. It will include cost estimation using the same software. It will also include getting feedback of the Metro Bus Project from its primary stakeholders who were directly involved in the construction of the project, and identifying the factors that caused delay in time and affected cost and quality of the overall project.
