Agriculture has historically been a major contributor to economic growth and food security in a nation. However, there are issues with traditional agricultural methods, such as the need for ecological standards and the lack of water. As a result, modern agricultural techniques like hydroponics have emerged as a successful treatment. Hydroponic farming has a variety of advantages over traditional soil-based farming. It is a soil-free farming technique that makes use of nutrient-rich water solutions. These advantages include a reduction in the dependence on arable land, improved water efficiency, and improved fertilizer supply. As the world's focus shifts to sustainable agriculture, hydroponics has gained a lot of attention because of its potential to lower resource usage while improving crop yields. The effectiveness and productivity of hydroponic systems have been successfully enhanced through the integration of the internet of Things (IoT) and machine learning algorithms. Combining IoT technologies. with machine learning methods like logistic regression, decision trees, and support vector Machines to automate and carefully track the growth of hydroponic plants. Utilizing the Internet of Things enables the intelligent control and autonomous management of a hydroponic system. Real-time data gathering from a variety of sensors, including as pH sensors, temperature sensors, and other sensors, offers relevant information about growing conditions and enables precise adjustments to encourage plant growth. Machine learning algorithms can create the ideal growing conditions for plants by carefully examining this data and making decisions regarding nutrient dosage, water delivery, and environmental changes. The system's objective is to provide accurate hydroponic environment control actions based on a range of input criteria. The creation of a prototype using Espressif32 (ESP32) will be carried out with a focus on tomato cultivation as a case study. Current agricultural practices Enve a great deal of room for improvement, and the utilization of hydroponics in conjunction with machine learning algorithms and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies offers great potential. Farmers can use these technology to increase agricultural output, conserve resources, and improve operational efficiency. |
