dc.description.abstract Traversing points of interest through most optimal routes has been one of the oldest spatial problems. With the diffusion of technology and spread of awareness, the demand to produce viable solutions through the use of geographic information is ever increasing. Currently developed travel related solutions either are limited in functionality or provide insufficient information for local areas in Pakistan. This project aims to provide time effective solutions through the integration of various techniques under a single platform. With the main objective of assisting the user in decision making, the proposed system provides: Preference Based Routing, Travelling Salesman Problem Routing, Social Networking and Social Media & Weather Integration as main features. User can select points of interests based on preferences and generate most convenient routes. In addition to that, system also allows for the input of constraints such as budget, mode of transport, travel time, etc. to generate custom paths tailored to suit users need. Through a comprehensive spatial data repository, GIS based locational analysis and customized routing tools, the application intends to target general public as end users to help them create, visualize and review most efficient travel plans in the shortest time span possible. en_US
