Abstract:
Management is an important part of any construction project. Without proper
project management the successful completion of project is always doubtful especially
from the prospective of project management`s constraints of time, scope, budget and
quality. We shall be practicing the project management techniques and tools on a real
project of construction of 4 storey building comprising of 16 X apartments being built at
Shuhada Town in Lahore.
The scope of our study will comprise of estimating quantities, preparing BOQs,
estimating cost, followed by planning and scheduling of the project on Primavera P6®
and creating 3D drawings of the building on AutoCAD and Google SketchUp®
softwares. The study will also encompass risk management of the project including risk
identification, risk assessment, risk prioritization and development of risk response for
this project. The deliverable of this study would be baseline plan made on Primavera
P6® and 3D drawings of the under study project.
