dc.description.abstract The aim of the project is to explore the nature of user dependent space using a sensorial approach towards design. The main focus in the field of architecture is man so it is essential that spaces are designed which frame both individual and collective human requirements. We tend to design generic spaces for both able and disable bodied hence by choosing a unique user group that is people with speaking and hearing disability spaces and programs would be proposed which have an exclusive design typology. The design concept if generalized is designing a user dependent space for the people with hearing and speaking disability, which provides a heightened sensory experience. The use of senses has more practical approach than theoretical implications as the user group would be predominantly using one of the senses that is sight to comprehend the space. The concept and the program resulted in a very specific problem solving strategy. The user group acted like a mentor while the peripheral sense of vision and touch were used as the guiding principles for the spatial quality and arrangement. It is significant to realize that an integrated approach was incorporated to achieve a holistic design solution. en_US
