dc.description.abstract Food and architecture have had a mutual relation to each other and to people from earliest times. In every culture and town settlements, food has been sold on the streets playing its role towards social interaction and the public consumption of food has led to increased cordiality among the urban population. This level of interaction has led to creation of social nodes in the urban fabric. Food related activities have thus proved to be a bridge between people and places. They have become one of the strongest tools for social progress and have the power to transform city streets and their level of association with the stakeholders. Culinary arts. have become a prominent domain in recent times. This type of art has the ability to engage humans at multi-sensory levels, putting all the human senses to use. The process of learning from experience universally exists in all human activities. Holistic learning processes operate at different social levels from a single person, in groups and organizations, and to societies as a whole. This thesis aims at creating an urban node through culinary programs that aid business startups/ enterprises at an initial level, help impart knowledge regarding the food we consume and bring about a socially interactive space that imparts culinary learning as well. en_US
