dc.description.abstract This thesis explores the possibility of a void space present between multiple working systems of a city. The void space can be defined as an intermediate space between systems where logics clash to undertake the constant rebuilding of systems. The identity of each system implements itself in the form of a void space between them, a presence of absence which is composed of unity and disparity. The balance of both these logics unites the systems and the disparity provides the necessary disjoint so that each system maintains its own specific identity. Formation of a cross cultural complex will formalize the systems according to the concept of the void space. As opposed to restoring urban continuity, this research in no way attempts to reconcile the disparities encouraging, instead the opposed and often conflicting logics of multiple systems. en_US
