Abstract:
The greatest entity that gives architecture its meaning is the human being. Hence, architecture holds in
it, the capacity to induce and manipulate emotions within the user. Considering this idea, it is fair to say
architecture has the ability to heal.
Therefore, this project aims to challenge how this idea can be incorporated into the designing of a
Rehabilitation Center for Sports injuries. The complex will provide users with a modern facility that
caters to all kinds of Sports related injuries, all the while having a very sensitive approach towards how
architecture can aid the patients healing process through various stimuli.
The project shall attempt to counter the idea of what a typical medical treatment experience is like,
refer to itself as a 'Meditative Retreat' rather than a sterile medical visit.
