dc.description.abstract Since the beginning of time, architecture has been in a constant state of evolution, from the ancient dwellings set in caves to today's multi-story high-rises it has altered as per the needs of its users, the context and the technological advances. For myself, the idea of the architecture of the future for a context like Pakistan has been a very prevalent inspiration. This architecture of contemporary times progressing towards the future has become a symbol of economic growth, progress, and luxury in developing countries such as ours. Therefore, the choice of the thesis topic of a Hotel Space, which in its essence is a temporary living space of comfort and luxury, comes from that inclination. The intention of the project has been to explore these temporary living spaces in terms of temporality incorporated into the architecture, that can create variating experiences within the user so that each encounter with the space breeds a new experience. Focusing on this aspect, the project's aim has been to create spaces, both in the public and private realms of the hotel, that could manipulate the sense of time in a way that the mundanity experiences of the outside world are disconnected from, and the experience inside the hotel becomes enhanced. This aims to give a dynamicity to the hotel space in the sense that it would become a vacation away from the typicalities of life and thus becomes a world in itself. It is to shift from any rigidity that one may encounter in an average life and should give the experience of a smooth flow into and through the spaces so as to subtly influence the experiences. I Hence, the project targets an aspect of luxury of the user's experience that is temporalized in the architectural space and programs of the private and public realms of the hotel. en_US
