dc.description.abstract After the incident of 9/11 terrorist activities started taking a toll all over the world including our own country Pakistan. That is where scientists and Civil engineers gained pace in working on the subject in producing a blast resistant concrete using all their knowledge, experience and skills. Concrete is considered most suitable material for the construction of these structures due to economical aspect. But its property of being brittle and nonhomogenous creates trouble. Therefore a need of producing a ductile, flexible and denser and safer concrete was imperative. Syndicate started search on internet and referred to various books and found out that Polypropylene Fibres and silica fumes can effectively help in this regard, helping concrete to increase its mechanical properties against Blast resistance, specifically crack propagation en_US
