Abstract:
Our Country Pakistan has a very high crime rate and every day it is increasing. Digital advancement in the
field of Computer can help to slow down this rate.
Unavailability and no access to high quality structured crimes data in our country restricts researchers from
applying useful data analytics for assisting law enforcement agencies in crime prevention is the problem we
are solving in our final year project. PredPol software and data mining firm Palantir are currently working on
it. We will solve it by taking crime data from online newspapers and then process that to make that
structural using techniques from natural language processing (NTLK and spaCy libraries in Python).
After getting structured crime data, we will apply different techniques of data analytics to visually see ratios
of different types of crimes happening in different cities of the country.
