dc.description.abstract | The project's aim is to propose a compact & unobtrusive personal cooling unit which promotes healthy breathing for the emerging young adults of the upper middle class of Pakistan; who tend to live alone or in shared rooms. The unit is called AURA and it reduces the problems faced by users in the already existing evaporative coolers and other cooling units such as ACs; and is intuitive and app-controlled. It caters to the niche existing in the local market where there is no middle point between evaporative coolers and Air Conditioners in terms of aesthetics, usage and price. At the same time it is a highly sustainable product, not only in terms of environment but also in terms of the sustainability of human health as well as vernacular traditions. | en_US |
