Abstract:
In Pakistan to get treatment people go to government hospitals because they
cannot afford expenses of big, private hospitals. Around 60 % of Pakistan's
population can only afford the nominal fee for their health. People wait for their
turns and come from faraway suburb areas with their families. There is not much
space available inside the hospitals for families and the space cannot be extended
to occupy the attendants as the hospitals prefer spending the money and budget on
improving their medical equipment and extending their medical care. So it is the
need of the hour to create a low cost solution for the attendants that could be made
in the premises of the hospital that also fixes the issue of the hospital along with
fulfilling the needs of the attendants. In this project we propose an adaptable,
sustainable and a modular design for shelter. There is no such implication of
adaptable housing for people visiting hospitals, so it can be an efficient way to
address the main .problem (stay) of the attendants in the hospitals with their
relatives.
