dc.description.abstract This project aims on creating adaptive seating units as add-ons to bus stops of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. It is an idea that considers laborers who migrate from rural areas in search of work to cities of opportunity like Islamabad and Rawalpindi. For the people who do not have any place to go to during the night due to a lack of resources for them to afford a shelter of any kind and hence, sleep inside bus stops or footpaths. The intended solution would be an installation that is a transformable additive to existing bus stops. It would help in increasing the usability for the current users of bus stops as well as provide separate areas for people to rest in the night time with a consideration for them leaving as the sun rises. It will induce a sense of space and shelter for the people who deserve it along with making sure they don't get "too comfortable" to lie there all day. This will also ensure a sense of permanence is not encouraged regarding the installation for a user: the product being public property. en_US
