GulSaat: Floral Showcase and Packaging System

Abstract

The project aims to design an adaptive unit that will cater to the needs of storage, transport and display of cut-flowers. The major reason that cut flower business remains in its embryonic stage is, neglected packaging and transport facilities, high value of raw material as compared to the costs and lifetime of ultimate finish products leading to dissatisfied end users and bated profits for the retailers of the floral industry. The proposed all-in-one unit will be a replacement of existing buckets used for cut flower display, that will convert into containers for transport services through proper marketing channels, providing an efficient and permanent solution at optimum temperature range.
