dc.description.abstract Pakistan has always had an abundance of resources in the form of raw materials, labor and industries. Over the past few decades, the number of individuals who pursue careers in engineering and design has also increased. However, said individuals are not able to apply their expertise within the country and the reason for this being a very crucial bank of information missing from Pakistan's data base. In the seventy years of Pakistan's history not once have we had a formal anthropometric survey, the closest thing we have is the decennial census that focuses on tabulating the individuals that make up this nation. Which leads to the question, if such a system exists to gather information on such a large scale what are the tools needed to also collect accurate anthropometric data. This is the information we need to take ideas from studios and make them ready for the real world. The aim of this project is understanding and developing a feasible measuring device that can effectively and accurately gather anthropometric data of every individual of Pakistan from infancy to old age. Developed countries across the world have collected this information and used it to cater to the requirements of the population. This information is valuable in various academic fields from anthropology, ethnography to engineering and designing. Any field that focuses on the people can understand the value of it. en_US
