The project Wayfar is designed to provide a light weight, compact and mobile
travelling pod for craggy, inflexible areas.
Pakistan's tourism industry is constantly evolving, and contributing greatly
towards the country's GDP. The number of domestic as well as foreign tourists is
increasing every year. The Pakistan Tourism and Development Corporation are
working for the installation of travelling pods in the top tourist destinations, but
those designs do not allow mobility. For backpackers and explorers, voyaging to
explore every inch is the goal. Sometimes during their expeditions, they find
themselves in places they want to settle for some time, but there is no provision
of accommodation there.
The designed solution would give that freedom to travelers to explore to the
fullest, without having to worry about a place to stay. The proposed solution is
light weight, carried in a backpack, can be set up anywhere, and packed up
anytime. This solution saves the hassle of finding a nearby place for
accommodation, and a tourist's expense to a great deal, still contributing to the
circular economy. It is to be returned at the end of the trip to the tourism offices
who will then give these to other travelers requiring them. |
