dc.description.abstract A research into one of the main problems faced by the people in the rural areas of Pakistan i.e. the unavailability of natural gas, which causes the locals to use fuel woods or fossil fuel combustion as an alternative for energy usage. This alternative being expensive and time consuming, for which the locals need to go out of their way in order to comply with the regular needs of the household i.e. cooking, heating etc. The project comprises of biogas digester plant for which the substrate is readily available to the locals owning upto a cow, a few goats etc. Animal manure is usually piled up at the corner of the house releasing harmful gases into the environment or the manure is spread across their fields using it as fertilizer. The proposed product, therefore, suggests realization of miniaturized modular biogas-based solution at a household level that'll utilize the daily bio waste of the household and convert it into biogas and a fertilizer as a by-product. en_US
