dc.description.abstract The feet are the most important part of the human body which assist us to perform basic tasks in our daily lives. However, we depend on our feet for various activities such as our choices in lifestyle habits, injuries, accidents, and choice of therapeutic and functional footwear. Our feet can develop deformities that make everyday performance a difficult task. Foot deformity is a congenital (by birth) or acquired condition that involves structural abnormalities or muscle imbalances that affect the function of the foot. It seriously influences the quality of life of people as it leads to severe strain in bones, tendons, or ligaments of the foot. This report states the problems of foot deformity which leads to wearing therapeutic or orthopedic footwear, behavior towards footwear and awareness of wearing the right type of footwear for comfort and fit. Also included herein is the development process which includes the design and structure to meet the needs of the wide target group. en_US
