dc.description.abstract People tend to spend about 8 hours per day at work. Many occupations require employees to sit at their workspaces for a long time. Due to this, they become susceptible to back and neck pain, and ultimately develop musculoskeletal disorders. Physical pain caused by poor posture is a prevalent concern and needs to be prevented in order to maintain a person's health. According to the research conducted, these disorders are extremely common amongst office employees and in professions that involve sitting in a static position. This project explores postural correction methods in order to create a simple solution that can prevent the problem. The resulting product is an ergonomic back support that can automatically adapt to the contours of the human body and improve sitting posture. en_US
