People tend to spend about 8 hours per day at work. Many occupations require
employees to sit at their workspaces for a long time. Due to this, they become
susceptible to back and neck pain, and ultimately develop musculoskeletal
disorders. Physical pain caused by poor posture is a prevalent concern and
needs to be prevented in order to maintain a person's health. According to the
research conducted, these disorders are extremely common amongst office
employees and in professions that involve sitting in a static position. This project
explores postural correction methods in order to create a simple solution that
can prevent the problem. The resulting product is an ergonomic back support
that can automatically adapt to the contours of the human body and improve
sitting posture. |
