dc.description.abstract A problem that is faced by many that also affects a lot of people; might stre ss them and exhaust them mentally. Colic in infants makes them fussy and c auses pain and makes the baby very uncomfortable. The infant tends to cry over excessively longer hours and this may increase in intensity at night. The crying is mostly at its peak during the night time. This makes it exhausting not only for the infant but also the parents of the baby as well; staying up all night trying to calm down the baby and relieve them of pain. Doing this can cause exhaustion and mental stress in parents which may lead to difficu lty in completing daily tasks and doing other work. This can affect them men tally and in some cases also financially. Because when the baby starts to cry the only way to calm it down can be swaddling, swinging or a feeling of co nstant motion. Other than that back massages or laying the baby on its back can help at times. So, keeping these things in mind, a solution must be des igned which makes it easier for parents to help the baby; and lessen their ef forts and stress. en_US
