dc.description.abstract Animals are an important part of our society as well as our ecosystem. Problems in survival for stray animals rise because there is very little to no awareness for animal rights and welfare in Pakistan. The project investigates the relationship between stray animals and the society and how these stray animals have been treated in the society and what is being done towards them. The necessities of stray animals, causes of population increases and the diseases these animals carry were studied, alongside the problems faced by people that run animal shelters and solutions to these issues. Existing solutions and market research were also conducted to identify the kind of products being used already. Looking at the case studies and existing products available in the market, awareness can be increased by few means which include creating a product or solution that allows human to interact with animals directly or indirectly to create a more empathetic response towards free ranging animals. en_US
