Abstract:
Rape/Violence is a high concern in our society with its count extremely high.
As the years go by the count of violence just keep on increasing. Even if there
are laws regarding penalties and jail time against offenders, not many are
actually convicted. A lot of cases go unreported as well. When there is no
action from the government, one should know and learn self-defence to
protect themselves and prevent such actions/de-escalate situations before
they go awry. There are a lot of gadgets for self-defence and martial arts, and
the kind. However, a lot of women's first response may be to freeze in action
even if they know some defence move they saw or read about online, or they
may even lag before taking out any sort of object such as keys or pepper
spray to defend. Not to say everyone would react that way, but many of them
may do so. Hence there is the need for training the body to hit or attack
major vulnerable areas regularly to stimulate muscle memory into the body.
This solution is to train how to hit on major key areas and build up muscle
memory while doing it regularly. It also stimulates the mind to keep sharp.
This solution attempts to bring awareness that one is able to defend
themselves through teaching them the main vulnerable points, in a light and
subtle manner.
