dc.description.abstract Overthinking is state in which an individual has reoccurring negative thoughts which eventually has a serious toll on the mental and physical health of an individual. After being cooped up at home for more than a year, the idea of being around too many people can be both intimidating and triggering for some. The social stigma attached with mental illness makes it difficult for people to talk openly about their mental health, yet alone seek help. Designed as a self-coping mechanism to get one through social situations or being alone while overthinking, Thinklt is wearable that help calm you down. When your body produces epinephrine, the blood vessels in your hands and feet constrict, forcing blood to rush to your heart and brain instead. Hence, of the most apparent symptoms of overthinking are to feel your hands going cold and clammy. By virtue of the design, the wearable keeps your hands warm while also absorbing any sweat off your palms. The fingers remain exposed, allowing you to perform daily tasks and even being able to bite your nails if that is your response to stress. Thinklt's unorthodox 'brain game' is based on pattern recognition, with a tangible interface that wraps around the hand. The interactive wearable help destress a person without any therapies or treatments. A set of touch-sensitive pads is present in different zones that flashes at random. When the finger-tap coincide with the correct lit up zone, the wearable sends positive tactile feedback by flashing led and progressing to the next level. This reward helps boost your confidence while distracting your mind and effectively reducing overthinking. en_US
