Through the years, we have witnessed visually impaired people attend matches live in stadiums to show
their love and passion for sports especially football. However, the problem identified was that they were
not able to experience the thrills ofamatch to its full potential. In this regard, contextual inquiry, secondary
research and other research methods like surveys and interviews were conducted which helped in
understanding the problem more in depth. The research findings indicated that a lot ofpeople have passion
for football and experiencing a game in stadiums is a dream for many. Two case studies, 'Project
FootBraille' and 'Field ofVision' are also mentioned to understand how this issue was tackled before. It
uses haptic technology, allowing a blind user to experience football match through tactile touch. The major
findings were that most users had a positive response but the issue was that different gameplays and
dynamics ofthematch were not fulfilled by it. Therefore, it was deduced that another solution was required
which depicts overall dynamics ofthe game. Thus, allowing the user to experience a football match to its
full potential. |
