dc.description.abstract | Pakistan is a developing nation with a falling economy and below average literacy rate. The lack of affordable and modern education resources is causing problems for the community at large. The proposed solution for this is a low-cost projection device that works with little resources to make imparting education easier without the need for books. The device's image quality was evaluated by user testing in NGOs in classrooms with various lighting levels. The usability was tested by allowing the teachers and administrative staff to set it up and interact with it. This study revealed that the amount of light provided (in Lumens) was sufficient to project in a room with ambient lighting and the faculty required less than 5 minutes to figure out the interface and use the product in the intended manner. This paper discusses the failures of traditional educational resources in terms of current natural disaster-prone situations and how we can reimagine a rural area with modern technology made simple and affordable. | en_US |
