Abstract:
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is a region with very rich history and culture dating back to the beginning of
human settlements and civilizations but unfortunately over years the locals are lost in their daily life
and have forgotten their culture and heritage. Therefore, we need a place where the locals and
tourists can interact with each other and learn about the region. Many religions flourished from these
lands such as Buddhism that originated in regions now Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India but over the
period they were moved to the Southeast now Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia by invaders. Followed
by all the other religions and languages that originated and flourished in these regions such as
Sikhism. The museum will work as a timeline from the 2d century to the modern times. It will be an
informative and monumental structure educating the people about the lands they live on and learn
about what these lands had before.
Over the years this region has seen all sorts of civilizations, emperors, kings, and empires. Starting
from Indus Valley Civilization followed by the introduction ofBuddhism than came many other rulers
such as Alexander the Great, Ashoka, the Mauryan, Aryans, Mughal, British. All these invasions and
rulers brought with them many religions such as Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism, and Islam.
Similarly, a lot of languages were introduced here such as English, Hindi, Persian, Pushto, Urdu,
Saraiki, Hindko, and many other languages. This made this region very rich in terms.
of diversity and culture. This diversity brought with it a lot of problems that are both religious and
language based but no one investigated the diversity and the opportunities that it can provide this
region with. I want to celebrate this diversity in my museum also I want to educate the people of the
region about its history.
